09-13-2019 Spartan Classic
The Sauk Valley Skyhawks headed to Aurora to run at the Oakhurst Forest Preserve for the Aurora University Spartan Classic. The course loops around the small lake and through the forest preserve. Rain from the night before left the back part of the forest a little bit wet and muddy.
In the women's Junior College Race, Haley Weidner was the top finisher for the Skyhawks in 3rd place with a time of 25:10. She was followed by Nataleigh Nugent with a time of 26:16 (9th place); Xheneta Beqiri with a time of 28:05 (17th place); and Kelynn Boyle with a time 29:14 (24th place).
In the men's race, Dylan Pavlak was the top finisher for the Skyhawks in 24th place with a time of 30:43. He was followed by Dillion Forbeck with a time of 31:06 (28th place); Ruben Leal with a time of 31:56 (34th place); and Cameron Gonzalez with a time of 35:10 (47th place).
